- This website was supposed to be dedicated to the review of a kennel, which assumes that it should be a subject of interest, the content of which is to develop the breeding of Swiss Mountain Dogs, to provide them with attention, socialization, care, love.
- Despite the fact that the breeding is covered by the FCI (Fédération Cynologique Internationale), SKJ (Slovenská Kynologická Jednota), Slovak Club of Swiss Mountain Dogs, this seems to be a clear example of commercial breeding, which the FCI prohibits.
- After obtaining all the information (from freely available sources), we must state that this is one of the largest factories for the production of puppies not only for Swiss breeds, but also for other breeds worldwide.
- The main motivation of the breeder Mrs. Jana Stefancova seems to be profit from the sale of puppies, which is at the expense of their quality, well-being and healthy development, whether adult dogs or puppies.
- New owners receive incomplete and distorted information. We are convinced that if they had all the information at their disposal, every person who sincerely likes animals would think twice about buying a puppy from this kennel and would not support such unethical breeding.
Considering all the facts found, we cannot recommend the purchase of a puppy from Balihara Ranch kennel under any circumstances. We also do not recommend supporting this kennel in any way, either by using its stud dogs or in any other way. This is the only way to stop the suffering we are witnessing in this case. At the same time, we call on the competent authorities, such as the relevant tax office, the Financial Administration of the Slovak Republic, the police of the Slovak Republic, the Slovak Prosecutor’s Office, the relevant veterinary authorities, which are supposed to ensure the supervision of compliance with the care of animals, to check the conditions of keeping, trading and handling animals. At the same time, we call on the FCI, the SKJ and the relevant club to check the facts found by us and pay due attention to them, and to exclude the owner of Balihara Ranch kennel from membership if it is confirmed that she violates the rules of the highest cynological institution of the FCI. Until the end of the investigation, we propose to suspend the activity of this kennel. We also appeal to people, animal lovers, to spread awareness about this unethical breeding, share it in the virtual world and possibly develop an activity themselves to protect these dumb creatures who cannot help themselves.
